Tardrix is a glacial region that is cut off from the rest of Veargreums central population. Most of the land is bombarded by a constant blizzard, known as the Frostmaw. This weather abnormality is believed to be caused by an ancient creature slumbering somewhere beneath the eternal storm. The natives of Tardrixs mostly inhabit the high mountains present in the region, that stretch up above the storm. Here in these high altitudes the temperature is still quite cold but tolerable for its inhabitants. The inhabitants I speak of are a race of giant humanoid turtle-folk. These hardy folk possess large bulky bodies standing about 8ft tall and shells to help protect them from the cold. A nomadic people, these turtle-folk spend most of their lives in the frigid mountains above the Frostmaw. When they need to journey to the coast for trade or travel they utilize special gondola systems. This mode of transport helps keep them safe from the Frostmaw below. However, those who have survived the Frostmaw tell tales of temperatures so cold even fire magic is extinguished. If that wasn’t bad enough the desolate landscape is also marred by beasts so large they almost seem to give the storm legs of their own.
