Nebala the fog weaver is known as the deity of travels and secrets, and creator of the realm of Felmorra. This realm acts as a point between all the realms, meaning if one knows how to navigate it you could find your way into any of the known realms. Felmorra appears as an endless forest of gnarled dead trees and thick suffocating fog. While the fog weaver herself is able to control the fog and create easy navigation, she can also use it for more sinister purposes. Instead of having the fog open up in certain areas to create a path, she can cause it to leak into one's mind and disorientate them while eroding their memories. Causing them to forever stumble and wander with no memories of who they once were. So despite its potential usefulness it is not a place one would like to find themselves in. However, in most cases the only ones who find themselves in Felmorra are Nebala herself or mortal souls she guides to the afterlife. In fact this is why Nebala created Felmorra in the first place. As top general for the goddess of death Sebat, Nebala needed a way for mortal souls to travel from the material plane to the afterlife.
This is why as a mortal's life is coming to an end they will first be greeted by Nebala, appearing in an ethereal dress made of living fog, holding a lantern. While the dress and lantern are ever present the form itself appears as one the mortal knew in their life that they would find most comforting. In this chosen form she finds those who are truly alone, tethering on the precipice of all they have ever known and what comes next. Here she reaches out a gentle hand, offering companionship in the long walk to one's final destination. As her shimmering golden eyes pierce the fog of Felmorra, like a lantern in the darkness. Acting as a beacon for all lost souls to follow and a warning for wicked creatures seeking to do harm.
While Nebala does not often meddle directly in the affairs of mortals she does sometimes help devout followers who are driven by a profound sense of discovery. Revealing to them lost secrets that seemed to have been shrouded from the universe itself. Others pray to Nebala for safe travels. Asking for her guidance in ensuring they take the correct path and are steered from trouble.
