The SleetSack are grotesque segmented parasites, each reaching a length of 4-6 feet. Thier skin resemblesthe color and texture of ice, which seamlessly blends into the frozen landscape, appearing as unsuspecting mounds of ice and snow when lying in wait upon the surface of frozen lakes.

Devoid of eyes, the SleetSack compensates with a keen sense of smell for blood and an extraordinary ability to detect vibrations, honing in on unsuspecting prey moving atop the ice. Mostly active during the night, they embark on stealthy missions, targeting creatures like the unwitting Slip Seals during their vulnerable slumber.

The SleetSack employs a methodical approach to its predation. Silently, it creeps up on a sleeping victim, such as the Hook Beak, waiting for the opportune moment. When the time is right, it rises above the slumbering creature, unfurling its monstrous mouth that spans its entire body. Like a grotesque sleeping bag, the SleetSack envelopes its prey, puncturing it with thousands of needle-like teeth.

As the feeding commences, the SleetSack drains the hapless victim of every drop of blood. By the morning light, all that remains is a desolate husk, devoid of life.
