Guarding the coral jungles and tidepools upon the back of the giant Benzoahs, is the Staghorn Serpent. This Umbra species has a long serpentine body, a set of short front legs with a body covered in many types of hardened coral. The corals growing from the Staghorn serve many different purposes. Certain corals growing along their backs help them camouflage into their environment. While the coral horns growing atop their heads act as sensory organs in order to detect even unseen danger quickly. The coral helps the Staghorns but can also be considered a curse. You see, coral is technically a living thing and the coral that grows out of Staghorns have their own minds and thoughts, which they communicate to the Staghorn. All these voices within the Staghorns head can turn even an intelligent creature like an Umbra to madness if they are not careful. Staghorns act as the guardians of these mobile ecosystems. Constantly patrolling its borders, to ensure that no invaders breach its perimeters. It is believed the Staghorns are so protective of the Benzoahs because they see them and the ecosystems as their hoards. This protectiveness of their hoard even extends to those of their same species. If a rival Staghorn sets foot on a claimed Benzoah a fearsome battle will commence with the loser either being killed or forced to retreat.

This CR7 creature is called a Staghorn Serpent and is an Umbra that lives mostly within the Coral Jungle.
