Found throughout the canopy of Tamatoea Tree in large family units are the Plookou. These medium sized primates are covered in thick fur to protect them from the chilling cold of these high altitudes. Their long arms and sharp claws make them excellent climbers. Which is essential as their most notable predator, the Trinavore, is always on the hunt. Their eye sight is better suited for nighttime activities so that is when you are most likely to encounter a group of Plookou. Their nocturnal habit also helps them hide from Trinavores and other larger tree predators who are most active during the day. The face of the Plookou comes off as a little unnerving, with their sharp jagged teeth being on full display. Along with the haunting appearance the yells of Plookou sound like deranged laughing. This can be quite frightening for any travelers of the tree at night, who might hear demonic sounding laughter echoing all around them. However, despite their appearance and vocals Plookou are shy creatures that run away at the first sign of danger. Their sharp teeth seem to be used for tearing into the tough fruits that the Tamatoea tree produces. They will also hunt the occasional small animal but the bulk of their diet is of fruits. While Plookou are quite skittish one should be careful not to make them feel threatened or cornered. Their teeth and claws can be just as suited for tearing through flesh as they are at tearing through fruits.
This CR1/2 creature is called a Plookou and is a Beast that lives mostly within the Tamatoea Tree.
