Greed Grubs appear as giant worm shaped creatures with a pair of disproportionately small front legs, multiple small wings and a stinging tail. Only found within the Everdream Expanse, it is believed these Grubs are the manifestation of Umbras greed who live on the material plane. Because of this the Greed Grubs most striking feature is their massive mouths. Which they constantly have open, as they slowly drag themselves throughout the dream realm consuming anything in their path. Besides just being large, the mouths of Greed Grubs are strange for another reason. Instead of leading into their stomachs, their mouths work as a portal into their very own pocket dimension. This pocket dimension looks like an endless hallway filled with doors on each side. This is how many of the residents of the dream realm or visiting dream mages quickly travel throughout the realm instantaneously. The only issue is if you don’t know what you are doing you may choose the wrong door and become lost in the Everdream Expanse. Despite Greed Grubs being Umbras their intelligence is incredibly limited and preoccupied with a single minded focus on consumption. Meaning if two Greed Grubs cross paths, the smaller Grub will usually be consumed by the larger Grub. When these two pocket universes combine both of the Grubs are destroyed and in their place is a weak spot between the Dream realm and the material plane.
