Geonites are small, worm-like creatures believed to hail from the stars beyond Crius. Their exact origin remains a mystery, but many scholars theorize that they crash-landed on the planet long ago and went on to colonize its volcanic regions. They appear as rounded stones filled with numerous holes, from which their many limbs can extend. However, this rocky exterior is merely a shell—one they burrow into for protection. Their true bodies are soft, squishy, and highly vulnerable, making the stone shell a vital defense mechanism.

Geonites lack traditional mouths. Instead, their semi-porous skin allows them to absorb nutrients through contact with the surrounding air. What they feed on isn't organic matter, but thermal energy, which volcanic areas provide in abundance. When hungry, they simply extend more of their bodies from the shell to soak up the surrounding heat.

They are commonly seen in large groups, often congregating around Blister Snails to bask in the intense heat these elemental creatures emit. While Geonites are capable of walking on their many legs, their preferred method of travel is to retract their limbs and roll downhill—a faster and more efficient way to flee from danger or relocate.

This CR1/2 creature is called a Geonite and is an Aberration that lives mostly within the Volcanic.
