Floating like balloons above the bubbling geyser pools are strange jellyfish-like creatures thought to originate from beyond the stars, known as Caustic Comets. These airborne carnivores use the hot air produced by the geysers below to give their light membranous bodies lift, enabling them to fly. This method of flight combined with their lightweight bodies allows Caustic Comets to reach great sizes of up to 50ft(15 meters) in diameter. Regardless of their size these creatures control their elevation by simply expanding their bodies outward to gain height and contracting it to lower themselves. Their mouths are located on top of their bodies and are full of multiple rows of omni-directional teeth. While they lack normal eyes the Comets have another way of seeing using the electromagnetic spectrum. This allows them to sense the electrical signals coming off of their prey. So when hunting a comet will wait until it identifies a strong electrical signal below it before zeroing in on the attack. When attacking the Comet turns itself upside down and fully contracts its body in order to fall down towards its prey at blinding speeds. This hunting method allows even small Caustic Comets to take down prey, as the force of their impacts can cause immediate deaths. However, Comets must be swift when feeding on their kills in the bubbling geysers below. Predators like Melter Maws would love to snack on a juvenile Caustic Comet. After eating their fill, the Comets then have to find a way to create the necessary boost to take spring from the water and back into the sky. Luckily the Comets solve this by storing the scalding water of the geysers into their bodies like a sponge and releasing it to propel them upwards like a rocket. This gives the Comet the necessary boost to then use the geyser's hot air to get them the rest of the way into the skies above.

This CR3 creature is called a Caustic Comet and is an Aberration that lives mostly within the Geysers.
