Rusewoods are deadly carnivorous trees that reside within the Fog Forest. Appearing as a sickly thin tree covered in thorns and long gharly branches, one would think this is merely a dying tree. The real danger is in the tree's ability to produce a strange sound that sounds like a child's wail. This acts as a lure to draw in humanoids or hungry predators of the forest. Once the prey gets within range the branches strike forward wrapping around and cutting the prey until they either die from lack of oxygen or blood loss. Once the victim has perished the branches release the corpse to act as fertilizer for the ground surrounding the tree.
