In most cases the Love-Rot Rose looks like a beautiful flower you'd find in your average garden. However, getting too close will reveal there is more to this beautiful flower than meets the eye. When the flower senses the presence of a tasty meal it will morph into something monstrous. The petals grow mouths filled with sharp teeth and from the flower's center shoots out a long barbed tongue. The tongue is able to wrap around small animals or insects and pull them into the sharp maw. Even if you are too large to become a snack the flower can still deliver a nasty bite. This is why these plants are used in many farms to act as both trespassing and pest deterrents. Originally this flower was crafted using alchemy, in the hopes of impressing the creator's crush. Unfortunately, the crush was not very fond of a flower that bites. So the alchemist, heartbroken, decided to put more of these flowers across the country. In the hopes that one day the flower will find the love it deserves.
