Blinder Berries can be found within the Everlit Evergreen forest. They are usually growing in clusters out of the luminous moss that makes up the majority of the forest's ground. Due to them growing out of the ground these berries developed hardened external leaves that wrap around the berries. This protects them from both predation and accidentally getting squished from the forest's foot traffic. While durable the berries leaves lack the vibrant light and hues of the surrounding glowing vegetation. Instead the leaves underside, normally facing the inner berry, are full of highly reflective photon emitters. These photon emitters charge up the phosphorus contained within the inner berry making them shine extremely brightly. While the berry is wrapped up this light is contained but if a persistent creature seeking a delicious berry treat manages to break through the berries protective leaves, they are in for a startling surprise. As the berry's bright light is now exposed and concentrated right in the face of the unfortunate creature. To unwary travelers these berries can be quite startling and dangerous. However, the forest locals actively seek out these berries in case they need to quickly blind potential threats.
