Most would think a desert is not an ideal place for any kind of amphibian. In most cases they would be right but this does not apply to the Wartwick. This strange frog has developed a way to not only survive but thrive in the harsh deserts. The Wartwick has special sensory organs that allow it to detect even the faintest hint of humidity from miles away. This allows them to locate desert oases with exceptional accuracy. Once they make their way to an oasis they are able to soak up a large quantity of water into their bodies thanks to specialized skin flaps. This allows them to travel for great periods of time without water as they search for new oases if the one they are at begins to dry out. Now while they are bloated with water traditional movement is quite difficult. However, their round shape and light weight allows them to simply be pushed by the desert's strong winds. This not only saves energy but also lets them cover vast distances much faster than they would otherwise. When it comes to the Warwick needing actual food they simply find larger animals and use their long tongues to free the animal of annoying parasites. This gives the Wartwick much needed food and cleans the larger organism as well. These frogs not only have adapted expertly to their environment but also act as bioindicators for desert natives. As one needs to simply look at the size of a nearby Wartwick to see how well an oasis’s water supply is doing. The larger the frog the better the amount of water.

This CR0 creature is called a Wartwick and is a Beast that lives mostly within the Desert.
