Wandering the open sand dunes in the Sea of Glass you may find a strange reptile. Walking along the glassy sand dunes on four sturdy but short legs is the Teslatops. These reptiles travel in large herds for both companionship and protection from predators. Protection from predators is not the only thing these reptiles need protection from. As the very landscape in the Sea of Glass is plagued by constant lightning strikes and winds full of sharp glass particles. Luckily the Teslatops have turned their dangerous living conditions into a superpower. After generations of these harsh conditions the Teslatops learned how to manipulate the electrical fields of the glassy sea. Now these ingenious reptiles generate an electromagnetic field around themselves. This field both redirects incoming deadly lighting strikes and acts as a force field of sorts against the sharp glass winds. This electrical manipulation is also used by certain members of herds to construct primitive tools. They do this by manipulating objects in their environment using electromagnetism. An ingenious way of using their power while lacking opposable thumbs. Many natives of the sea of glass will keep Teslatops as loyal pets. Not only are they generally docile towards humanoids but their electromagnetism abilities also help those close to them. Either by directly redirecting the harsh elements of the environment. Or by acting as a sort of early alarm system for a lightning strike. The alarm system comes from the ridge of fur along their backs. This fur stands straight up when electrical energy increases right before a lightning strike.
This CR1/2 creature is called a Teslatops and is a Beast that lives mostly within the Sea of Glass.
