Silknot Simians are a small species of primate native to the Everlit-Evergreen forest. They typically live in large tropes high up in the glowing tree canopy. Here they use their two sets of arms and the silken thread they produce to expertly navigate their arboreal environment. They once were simple monkeys until the fey magic produced by the Everlit-Evergreens enchanted pond mutated their DNA with arachnids. This mix with arachnids allows them to produce a strong spider-like silk. They use this silk to help strengthen their canopy structures and help defend against predators. The silk is even used by mother Simians in order to stick their children to their backs. This lets the adults utilize all their limbs while also ensuring their children are secure. Their mutations not only gave them spider like abilities, it also gave them increased intelligence and arcane mastery. Their arcane prowess can be observed by the third eye in the center of their head, which glows when being utilized. While their full magical abilities are unknown it seems that their third eye gives them a sense of clairvoyance to upcoming events. As this clairvoyance alerts them to incoming predators it gives the primates either time to flee or hide. They are experts at hiding by using the ends of their tails that look like part of an open flower. So all they have to do is huddle together and fan out their tails to trick predators into thinking they are merely a flower instead of a tasty monkey snack. The colorfulness of their tails is a crucial way for how males attract a mate. As the male with the most brightly colored tail is usually seen as the most desirable.
This CR1/4 creature is called a Silknot Simian and is a Monstrosity that lives mostly within Everlit Evergreen.
