Shard Shamblers are large undead who resemble humanoid women in ragged torn clothes and long ratty hair. While still up for debate, scholars believe Shard Shamblers are the spirits of mothers who lost their children in tragic circumstances. This loss caused the mothers to venture into the Fog Forest in hopes to reclaim their children's souls. However, once they entered the Fog Forest they became lost and eventually died within the realm. The result is a listless vengeful spirit forever searching for their child's soul. Their children's soul is not all they seek, their desire for justice also leads them to look for mortal souls who have been tainted with evil. Upon finding the soul they use their magic to tear off the evil chunks of their soul and craft that soul shard into a trinket from the souls past. While it is unclear why they craft trinkets out of them we do know they fiercely guard the trinkets, much like an Umbra guarding its hoard.
