The Scaradrath is among one of the largest known Mire Umbra, its body rivaling entire groves of trees in length and height. Its form is primarily reptilian, yet unmistakably altered by insectoid traits. A massive armored torso rests on six thick pillar-like legs. Each foot is broad and flat, ending in three thick claws that jut outward from the toes. Strong enough to tear through stone and packed earth. These claws assist the creature when carving its labyrinthine burrows into mountainsides. The Scaradrath’s back is covered by a hardened carapace resembling that of an enormous beetle. Unlike winged insects, this shell never opens, as the creature is entirely land bound. The plating is thick, ridged, and dark in tone, often carrying scratches and mineral dust from years of tunneling through rock. Its head retains the unmistakable form of an Umbra, though altered by strange mandible growths. These growths curve from the jaw, capable of crushing stone. Between them sits a reptilian maw lined with jagged, rock-like fangs. Above the mouth glow two pupil-less eyes that burn with a deep amber gold light. The Scaradrath’s greatest weapon is its raw physical force. When threatened it charges through its tunnels like a raging bull, using its immense weight to crush obstacles and intruders alike. Because it personally carves and memorizes every tunnel within its lair, the creature can navigate its maze at full speed while enemies quickly become lost.
