Within the dark and damp Umbra Graveyard there can be found a strange life form sheltering beneath the giant corpses that litter this land. Burrowing from out of the muck is a pale worm with a bulbous head and two arms in which to drag itself across the ground. Due to them being blind, they rely on an extraordinary sense of smell to help them locate fresh corpses to feed on. Instead of having a nose, they use a multi segmented mouth to collect scent molecules from the air and pass it into a special organ within their mouths. Once a Megalo-Maggot has found rotting flesh they will vomit acid onto the corpse to further break it down. When that is done they sprawl across the corpse, where their extruded stomachs will consume the melting flesh. This strange extruded stomach appears like a mass of small nodules sticking out from under them and even helps them with locomotion. To help protect their inside out stomach they have a hard shell that runs along their backs. The shell is not only utilized for protection but its shape helps them cut through the muck or rotting corpses in their environment. Found in great numbers across the Umbra Graveyard, they are a necessary life form in maintaining a balanced amount of carrion in the area.
