Most fish spend their entire lives in the safety of the water but Gunk Gliders are different. These fish possess elongated bodies sporting a pair of bird-like pseudo wings. While superficially resembling bird wings, they are actually modified fins that act in a similar fashion to wings. However, these pseudo wings are not perfect for flight. To make up for their inadequacies, the Gunk Gliders possess inflatable air sacs right beneath their wings to give them an extra boost or lift. Gliders can be found in great numbers around most beaches and coastal towns. Despite their large numbers, they are rarely hunted by either humanoids or larger predators. This is mostly due to their bodies being covered in a thick mucousy slime. Their slime helps to keep their bodies moist while out of the water and gives them an unpleasant taste. Gliders spend their days either soaking in shallow waters or hunting for food. While hunting the Glides use a mix of electrical fields to stun prey that get within a certain range. Then they tear into the unlucky stunned prey with their sharp beaks and tusks. However, in recent years Gunk Gliders have become used to scavenging off of the food and trash produced by humanoids more so than hunting for themselves. Making them seen as a common nuisance for these towns.
