Within the Everlit Evergreen there is a vast array of bioluminescent flora and fauna. Legend says this forest contains a leak into the fey realm, which is responsible for the strange glowing life here. While some species adapted to the changes from the dimensional leak others simply crossed over directly from the fey realm. One such creature is a tiny stubby legged reptile known as a Frillymander. The Frillymander may not be the fastest or the strongest, but its fey origin granted it certain unique abilities in order to survive this luminescent forest. The glowing bulbs at the ends of the Frillymanders antenna and tail do not simply glow, they communicate. Not just with other Frillymanders, but the other flora and fauna throughout the forest. By matching the color and brightness of other species bioluminescent the Frillymander is able to breach the boundaries of interspecies communication. However, Frillymander does not simply use this ability to communicate, but to control. Their fey ancestry has made them both intelligent and tricky. Whatever creatures or plants gaze upon the Frillymanders light display fall into a hypnotized state. Usually Frillymanders use this technique in order to escape predators, but they have also been known to manipulate curious humanoids in this way.
