Within the Dawning Dune deserts it is a common sight to see large clay pillars overlooking the sands. While a traveler might assume these are naturally forming geographical features, natives of the land know the truth. These clay pillars are actually built by ingenious desert dwellers known as Dromagus. The Dromagus live inside these clay pillars during the day to both escape the heat and stay protected from larger desert hunters. Then as the sun sets these little hunters make their way onto the dunes. Dromagus may not be very strong but they are quick thanks to their lithe frame, long feathered tail and a set of powerful back legs. While they lack adequate night vision their large ears give them excellent hearing. This enhanced hearing allows these little hunters to locate their prey even in low light conditions. Then their speed and small size makes running down smaller prey simple. They are also very fond of eggs and will often raid larger animals' nests to make off with as many eggs as the pack can handle. Instead of communicating vocally the Dromagus communicate with each other through a series of foot thumping and tail swishes. Their tail feathers are very bright and elaborate making them perfect for display among each other and to frighten predators. If a Dromagus gets cornered they will often raise their tail behind their heads as high as it can go. In hopes of the bright colors and increase in perceived size scaring off the attacker. Although Dromagus may be smaller than desert apexes like the Desert Shifter, locals still know to be cautious when passing the clay pillars. As one never can know how many swift hunters are lurking inside.

This CR1/4 creature is called a Dromagus and is a Beast that lives mostly within the Desert.
