Scuttling through the halls of wizarding schools and busy taverns are the Dirt Devils. These small circular creatures were originally found in the wild and domesticated to help maintain the cleanliness of indoor spaces. Their diets in the wild consist of algae, plants and seeds but their domesticated counterparts have been bred to consume dust and other floor debris. Finding their food is easy due to their multiple eyes facing all around them, giving them a full 360 view of their surroundings. The only place they cannot look easily is up. However, the tops of their bodies are covered in a hard chitinous material with small spikes to deter attacks from above. Their mouths are located on the underside of their bodies, allowing them to easily scoot over food and quickly consume them. They move around on their small nubby legs that allow them to move along the floor easily in any direction that they choose. The domesticated variety are quite tame and will even make a soft purring sound when petted. Smaller creatures and familiars have even been seen sitting on top of them getting free rides.
