Walking across the open plains of Crius is a being not fully plant nor insect but something between the two. This unique fusion of flora and fauna places the Daffodeetle snuggly into the Bloom Bug family. Growing from their carapace are flowering plants that help the Daffodeetle to blend in with other brightly colored foliage. While this does help with camouflage they also serve another important purpose. Just like other plants they photosynthesize, giving the insect another source of energy while in direct sunlight. In return the flowers get the perfect mobile pollinator. Over time this symbiosis encouraged larger and larger Dafffodeeltes. As the larger the surface area of the insects' carapace means more room for plants to take root. Which in turn provides more photosynthesis for the Daffodeetle. The abundance of flowers upon the insect's back often creates a cloud of pollen around the insect. The beetles themselves are used to their pollen but it can be handy in deterring would-be predators from getting too close. Unless of course the predators want to be sneezing and coughing uncontrollably, or go into anaphylactic  shock in extreme cases. This choking pollen was originally an issue for humanoids hoping to domesticate these peaceful giants. Luckily after enough research it was discovered that the pollen's effects were directly related to the types of flowers along their backs. Which is why wild specimen pollen is quite irritating to the senses but domesticated specimens have no search allergic effects. Now it is a common site to see Daffodeetles existing as living gardens for farmers and plant enthusiasts alike.
