Curratch are massive 12-meter long serpentine fiends that lurk within the realm of Tenarus. Their scale patterns resemble bloodied and clawing hand prints but that is not the most striking part of their appearance. Where one would typically expect a normal forked snake tongue the Curratch's tongue ends in a grasping humanoid hand. This hand is not just for style either as the Curratch can use this strange tongue to grab onto prey. This is the main strategy it uses when hunting. As the Curratch will hide itself under debris or beneath the ground with only the fake hand showing. Then when a passing fiend attempts to grab the hand in the hopes of snagging an easy humanoid meal, they are instead grabbed and consumed by the patient Curratch. This snake is also incredibly intelligent and will even call out and make noises while shaking the hand to better lure in its prey.
