Scurrying among the stone cracks and crevices of steep desert canyons is a rather odd and rarely seen desert inhabitant. Sightings are so rare in fact that many desert inhabitants believe the species to be extinct. Standing on four legs and possessing a reptilian-like head, a set of avian wings and brandishing seven long tails. While the appearance is strange these adaptations aid the Cradalia in different ways. Their small frame and quadrupedal stance helps make these creatures excellent rock climbers. Hopping from ledge to ledge in spots that larger clumsier animals could never reach. Then when a ledge or foot hold is too far for even them they have their wings. Even though these wings are not strong enough to allow them long flights. They are just what's needed to soar to the opposite canyon wall or an out of reach ledge. Usually these leaps are done in search of the Cradalias favorite food, desert cactus that grow along the cliff faces. With their strong reptilian beak biting into these spikey fruits is no problem. These plants not only feed the Cradalia but also provide them with the necessary hydration to survive such arid conditions. Similarly to the food they eat the Cradalia have a set of keratin spikes decorating their necks. Most likely as a way to deter predators or rivals from attack. Their most striking feature is of course their 7 tails but what purpose do they serve? These tails are blessed with magic from the god of fate, who is believed to have originally designed these creatures. When desired by the Cradalia they can curl one of the tails up to create a small reality shifting effect that alters fate in a localized area around them. This ability is used only in extreme emergencies throughout their lives as each time it is used that tail will remain curled inward and unable to be used again. Meaning they only have 7 uses of this ability throughout their lives. Legend says these divine creatures never age but once all 7 tails are curled the creature will die. Other superstitions surrounding the tails say Cradalias have 7 lives. While others believe they are signs that the Cradalia is a harbinger of doom. The scarcity of these creatures most likely feeds into that superstition. Lore Ideas - theyellowferret5125, NovaWcue, dewmilk17
