Cindervore is not an Umbra born of fire, but one devoured by it. Once a mighty Mire Umbra, its heart was cast into the planet’s deepest magma by mad sorcerers seeking to forge a living weapon. What emerged was no longer the same creature a reptilian horror of obsidian plates, molten veins, and living flame, hollowed of its soul.
Now, it roams volcanic wastes not to hoard, but to hunt driven by a singular, desperate instinct: to devour the hearts of others in search of its own. Cindervore being a former Mire Umbra does not fly in any traditional sense. Instead, it erupts from the earth in geysers of molten fury, a living explosion given form.
Its appearance is that of a centipede-like, reptilian monstrosity clad in jagged obsidian armor. Glowing fissures split its segmented body, radiating heat with every movement. Its eyes burn like open furnaces. Tattered wings of smoke and razor-thin glass hang from its back, useless for flight but deadly when unfurled. At the end of its tail gapes a smoldering furnace maw, while at the center of its chest lies a pulsing, fire-veined cavity empty, yet alive with heat, always beating in search of what it lost.
This CR18 creature is called a Cindervore and is an Undead that lives mostly within the Volcanic.
