These elegant birds were first discovered during one of Jimson Blunts expeditions into the dense marshes and swamps of Veargreum. Standing on a pair of tall slender legs, the Bluntfowl was first observed stalking through the thick mud and water of its environment in search of small amphibians and fish. Jimson Blunt was instantly enamoured with the creature and quickly published his findings to all manner of research guilds he could find. After that It didn't take long for word of this bird's beautiful color patterns and plumage to spread to all manner of noble and pet enthusiasts in the country. Leading us to the common domesticated version of the Bluntfowl. While they still share a similar body plan as their wild counterparts, they have much brighter patterns and exaggerated feathering displays. Their long narrow beaks are also much more curved towards the body. Making the beak less effective at snagging prey but giving them a more striking appearance. Luckily for the domesticated Bluntfowl they no longer have a need for hunting. As they are almost exclusively owned by rich nobles who pamper them to no end. The only work Bluntfowls are now expected to do is perform well at pet shows.
